About Us

For a Digital Switzerland

eBill is an initiative of SIX on behalf of the Swiss financial center. Established as the digital invoice standard, eBill enables the seamless digital receipt and payment of invoices, thereby creating significant benefits for private individuals, companies and the Swiss economy.

The Digitalization of Payments in Switzerland

Swiss payment transactions are exceptional: there is hardly any other country where so many bills are sent, processed and paid in relation to the population. There are over one billion invoices per year. With this volume, it pays to rely on efficient digital solutions. Payment transactions support all national and international business and thus make a significant contribution to Switzerland's economic performance.

A Seamless Digital Future

The introduction of the QR-bill has already made an important contribution to the evolution of digital payment transactions. The QR-bill builds a bridge between the analog and digital worlds.

eBill goes even further: eBill is seamlessly digital, from invoicing to payment. eBill consistently simplifies all processes and focuses on a convenient but secure customer experience.

Both the QR-bill and eBill create a positive impetus for the Swiss economy, society and the environment and thus make an important contribution to Switzerland's competitiveness.

The eBill digital invoice is also part of the Federal Chancellery's "Digital Switzerland Strategy" action plan. The programs, projects and initiatives included in this plan make a significant contribution to Switzerland's digital transformation.
